Nassau Bay City Council on Monday voted unanimously to appoint Jeff Horton to the Planning Commission.

Horton will fill an unexpired term previously held by William Larsen.

The city ocuncil voted unanimously to appoint Beverly Morrison, Sheila Self and Clifford Hatch to the Parks and Recreation Committee. Morrison will replace Graves, Self will replace Cammy Shay and Hatch will replace James Locke.

The city council voted 6-0-1, with Bryce Klug abstaining, to approve, on first reading, an ordinance establishing water and sewer rates, and to consider the second reading at a future meeting.

Klug had made a motion to table the item, but the motion was not seconded.

The city council voted 5-2, with Bob Warters and Jonathan Amdur opposed, to table consideration of a special use permit requeted by Transitional Learning Center Galveston to operate a hospital at 1275 Space Park.

The city council voted unanimously to approve an ordinance amending the city's Zoning Ordinance to add a new district and to correct section reference numbers in four of the other existing districts.

The city council took no action regarding a real estate matter, which was discussed in closed session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
