La Porte City Council on Monday voted unanimously to approve a $10,000 sponsorship for the 2018 United States Laser National Championships held at the Houston Yacht Club.

The city council voted 5-3, with Daryl Leonard, Jay Martin and Nancy Ojeda opposed, to deny an agreement and side-letter agreement with iChoosr, LLC regarding the city sponsoring an opt-in electricity power aggregation auction for the benefit of residents.

The city council voted 7-0, with Kristin Martin having left the meeting, to approve a motion to keep the three existing members and appoint an alternate member at a future date for the Drainage and Flooding Committee.

The city council voted 7-0, with Kristin Martin not present, to deny repairs at the Fairmont Park West Pool.

The city council voted 7-0, with Kristin Martin not present, to approve a 5 percent lump sum pay increase, as discussed in closed session regarding Municipal Court Judge Denise Mitrano.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
