Galveston County
City Begins Countdown to a New Galvestontx.gov
Press Release
Tuesday, May 15, 2018

(GALVESTON, TX) May 15, 2018– Over the next eight months, staff will work hand in hand with the City’s website provider, CivicPlus, and the public, to create a more user-friendly online experience.  As we kick off the redesign of our home on the web, the City is looking for feedback from the entire community to ensure that end users’ needs are accommodated and doing business with the City of Galveston online is simplified, streamlined, and stress-free.

Whether you are a resident on the Island, a second homeowner who loves to spend your weekends on “Island Time,” or a business owner who is investing your time and money into establishing a successful company in Galveston, we want to hear from you. The City will be collecting online surveys from the public to help guide City staff and the design team. The form will ask a series of questions and offer users the opportunity to provide valuable insight that will be considered when finalizing how information is presented, what information is the most prominent, and how we can better manage online processes.

“Open communication is what builds trust within communities, and a City’s website is one of the top communication tools we have at our disposal,” said the City’s Public Information Officer Jaree Fortin. “As we continue to work to bridge the gap between the City and our residents, we want the public to feel that their voices were heard and their input considered.”
