Seabrook City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve an agreement with the Seabrook Economic Development Corporation for funding of the design costs for the State Highway 146 Expansion project, in an amount not to exceed $1 million.

The funding is to be made in four equal payments of $250,000, with the first payment covered in the corporation's FY2018 Budget.

The projects includes aesthetic improvements, design costs and related improvements for the project.

The city council voted 3-2-1, with Mayor Thom Kolupski and Hamman voting in favor of Gary Johnson and Laura Davis abstaining, to appoint Gary Renola to the planning and Zoning Commission.

Renola will fill the vacancy left by Hammann, who resigned from the commission to serve on the city council.

The city council voted unanimously to ratify the reappointment of John Chisler to the Civil Service Commission.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Joe Machol was absent. Agenda

During a special meeting, the city council voted unanimously to adopt a resolution canvassing the results of the May 5 election.

Newly-elected council members Ed Klein, Jeff Larson and Buddy Hammann took their oaths of office after winning their elections. They were sworn in by Judge Dick Gregg.

No other action items were on the special meeting agenda. Council Member Joe Machol was absent. Agenda
