Galveston Summer Band Concerts
News Release
Wednesday, May 30, 2018

The City of Galveston has sponsored summer band concerts since 1928, with free admission.  Today, the band concerts are processed through the City's Parks and Recreation Department.  12 concerts are scheduled for every Tuesday this Summer.

Band  Director, Frank G. Incaprera will be celebrating with music he has collected through the many years.  This is the 58th year of directing the 24-piece orchestra.  His primary mission is to introduce young children to the world of good music.  Children are included in program participation in the Maracas Band, the Flag Parade and other surprises.

Ms. Gini Brown and Ms. Leslie will entertain the audience at each concert with historical stories about Galveston and it's people.

The 90th anniversary will be celebrated with some feature at each of the 12 concerts.

The outdoor concerts are held at the Sealy Pavilion located at the corner of 24th and Avenue I, across the street from Rosenberg Library.

Programs start each Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
