Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted 4-0-1, with James Patterson abstaining, to amend the Fort Bend County Rules to Control Rabies and Animal Control Regulations to include the definition of "Community Cat" and allow for "Trap-Neuter-Return" and "Shelter-Neuter-Return" activities in Fort Bend County.

The court voted unanimously to approve a request to purchase audio visual services from Datavox, Inc. for Justice Center improvements and upgrades, utilizing Department of Information Resources Contract DIR-TSO-3321, in an amount not to exceed $165,319.73.

The court voted unanimously to accept funds in the amount of $5,000 from TXU Energy to provide assistance to qualified County residents under the TXU Energy Aid Program.

The court voted unanimously to approve a request by Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 1 for an extension of 30 days for filing the 2017 District Audit Report due by June 1, 2018, pursuant to Health & Safety Code, Section 775.082.

The court met in executive session to discuss annual evaluations of the parks director and the director of risk management. No subsequent action was taken.
