Mike Sullivan Announces Candidacy for Lone Star College System Board of Trustees

Mike Sullivan Announces for Lone Star College Board Seat

Longtime conservative and native Houstonian, Mike Sullivan announces his candidacy for Lone Star College System Board of Trustees.  “As a graduate of Lone Star-Kingwood, resident of the district, and former elected official, I look forward to continuing to be an advocate for taxpayers on Lone Star’s Board”, said Sullivan.

Mike Sullivan has early endorsements from Texas State Senator Paul Bettencourt, Houston City Council Member Dave Martin, Humble ISD board members Robert Sitton and Keith Lapeze, State Representative Dan Huberty, Humble Mayor Merle Aaron, Constable Mark Herman, and many community leaders, activists, and precinct chairs.

Sullivan has a history of public service that makes him uniquely qualified for the Lone Star board.  “I was elected to the Humble ISD school board, to Houston City Council, and most recently as the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector.  In each elected position, I fought for the taxpayer, utilized my strong business experience, and never forgot that I was there to serve the public, not the other way around”, commented Sullivan.

As Lone Star transitions from all at-large seats to district seats, Sullivan is running for District 8.  That district includes the Kingwood, Atascocita, Humble, Walden, Summerwood, Porter, and New Caney communities.  “I worked hard to represent most of these areas in my12 years as an elected official”, said Sullivan.  “I know the areas well, and the issues even better.  I look forward to taking my experience to the Lone Star College System Board of Trustees.”

The election for Lone Star will be on the November 6th ballot.  For more information about the Mike Sullivan Campaign, go to
