News Release
Tuesday, July 03, 2018

Regular Trash Pickup for Municipal Customers Will Occur

All non-emergency City offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. This includes:

  • City Hall, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Inspections & Permits, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Municipal Court, 3845 Cartwright Rd.
  • Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr.
  • Animal Services, 1923 Scanlin Rd.

The Quail Valley Golf Course and the Bluebonnet Grille will operate on the regular schedule. To schedule your tee time, call 281.403.5910.

Residents who participate in the Municipal Solid Waste Program will receive regular pick-ups. To ensure service, citizens are encouraged to set garbage and recyclable materials out by 7 a.m. For assistance, residents may contact customer service at WCA Waste Corp. by calling 281.403.5800.

As individuals prepare to celebrate the 4th, City officials remind everyone to take the following precautions to keep families, visitors, pets and neighborhoods safe:

  • Make sure your pet is registered with the City and the ID tags are up-to-date and securely fastened to your pet’s collar. Consider microchipping your pets and add them to Nextdoor’s pet directory.
  • Try to attend the City’s Fourth of July celebration: http://bit.ly/2KEfy8F or another public fireworks display. Avoid private displays, as fireworks are illegal inside City limits per City ordinance.
  • Fire up the grill, but only outdoors and never on porches. Keep children and pets away from the grill and never leave it unattended.
  • While we know swimming may be in your Fourth of July plans, try not to swim alone and avoid using alcohol around water. Never leave children unattended near any body of water.
