by Garrett Bryce
Thursday, July 05, 2018

Missouri City City Council on Monday voted unanimously to submit a grant application to the Texas Water Development Board for flood protection planning grant assistance.

The water development board is accepting applications for grants for flood protection planning, early warning systems, and the implementation of location strategies for alerting and responding to floods. The city is seeking a total of $250,000, or 50 percent of funding for three projects, which include installation of a flood monitoring system, performance of a Brazos River Backwater Analysis, and updating the Cangelosi Ditch Watershed Master Plan.

The city council voted to approve an encroachment agreement with Kinder Morgan Crude and Condensate, LLC and Kinder Morgan Texas Pipeline, LLC for construction of a sidewalk from the parking lot off Bermuda Dunes Drive to create handicap accessibility to the Quail Valley North Park.

The city council voted to accept a deed from Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 26 for a roadway to serve the proposed Mustang Trails residential subdivision.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
