Dickinson City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a 2.5 percent increase in solid waste collection fees for Republic Services, effective January 1, 2019.

Due to the change, basic service will total $18.04 per month. Senior basic service will total $16.67 per month.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize the submission of a Flood Protection Planning Grant to the Texas Water Development Board. The city is seeking $150,000, to be combined with an additional $150,000 match, to fund a flood protection planning study of the watersheds in and around the city.

The city council voted unanimously to approve agreements with Huitt-Zollars, Inc. and IDS Engineering Group, Inc. for professional engineering services for prospective grant funded projects.

The city council voted unanimously to approve agreements with Raba Kistner, Inc., Terracon Consultants, Inc. and Tolunay-Wing Engineers, Inc. for geotechnical and material testing services for various projects.

The city council did not hold an executive session. Therefore, no action was taken related to the executive session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
