Tressler Kicks Off League City Council Campaign
News Release
Monday, July 16, 2018

Event features endorsements from sitting councilmen

League City, Texas —  League City resident Chad Tressler will formally announce his plans to run for League City city council at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 18th, at La Brisa Bar and Grill.

The event will also feature endorsements from two sitting members of city council, Larry Millican and Todd Kinsey.

With five total at-large races for city council and mayor up this election cycle, candidates typically jockey for positions and open seats. Tressler will announce which position he will run for at his kickoff event.

“The people of League City deserve active leadership from people who are willing to dig into the details and find practical solutions to the big issues facing our city,” Tressler said. “I am excited to share my plans with all of League City.”

With over 100,000 residents, League City’s rapid growth presents challenges for the area. Hurricane Harvey further highlighted the need for continued improvements to League City’s infrastructure, drainage, and roads. Tressler expects to tackle traffic congestion, drainage, and water supply issues when elected to city council.

Tressler and his family have lived in League City for 12 years. He previously lived in Bay Colony, and today lives in Hidden Lakes with his wife Michelle, three children, and three dogs. Tressler works as a systems engineer at NASA. He previously served on the League City Parks Board.
