The Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority on Tuesday voted unanimously to award a $425,025, 2-year and 3-month contract with Ben Line Singapore, Limited, for trade development activities on behalf of the port in Asia.

The commission voted to approve the port's sponsorship of the 2019 Retail Industry Leaders Association Logistics Conference in an amount not to exceed $65,000.

The commission voted to authorize a 1 year advertising and sponsorship agreement with Breakbulk Events & Media, in an amount not to exceed $100,000.

The commission voted to approve a memorandum of friendship and trade cooperation with the Port of Acu in Brazil.

The commission voted to request competitive sealed bids for trash disposal and recycling services for the Turning Basin Terminal, Barbours Cut Terminal, Bayport Container Terminal, Woodhouse Terminal, and Turning Basin Terminal South for a 3-year term.

The commission voted to rescind an award and re-advertise for proposals for the renovation of the executive office building at the Turning Basin Terminal.

The commission voted to award a $49,562,800 construction contract to McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. for the construction of Container Yard 7 at the Bayport Container Terminal.

The commission voted to amend the port's lease with Ridge POH I, LLC as discussed in closed session.

The commission voted to approve two motions approving the terms of the acquisition, by purchase or eminent domain, of three Bayport parcels of land and a Wah Chang-area easement, as discussed in closed session.

The commission voted to approve two motions for funding for an attorney with the firm of Amy Loeserman Klein and a legal consultan from Interface Consulting International, Inc., as discussed in closed session.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with commissioners Theldon Branch and Roy Mease arriving later in the meeting. Agenda
