Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3810 Liberty Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 3810 Liberty Road about 11 p.m. on Thursday (August 9).

The victim, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Detectives R. Watson and W. Huff reported:

The victim is the manager of the gas station convenience store at the above address.  While walking to his vehicle carrying a large amount of the business' money, he was shot by a robbery suspect. 

The suspect then fled on foot southbound on Pannell.

The suspect is described only as a black male with short dreadlocks and wearing a red shirt with a white stripe.
