Port of Orange Board of Commissioners

The Port of Orange Board of Commissioners on Monday voted unanimously to approve a 2 percent cost of living increase for employees, as discussed in closed session.

The board voted unanimously to approve the port's membership in the Orange County Economic Development Corporation.

The board voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Commissioner John Young from the board. Young, who represented Precinct 4, is relocating to Louisiana. The board will consider appointing a member to fill Young's unexpired term.

The board voted unanimously to ratify a lease with Bludworth Marine for property on the peninsula.

The board voted unanimously to approve a contribution rate of 4.25 percent for the Texas County and District Retirement System for employee retirements benefits, as discussed in closed session.

The board took no other action from items discussed in closed session.
