Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to propose a property tax rate of $0.427914 per $100 valuation for the 2018 Tax Year.

The rate is equal to the effective tax rate, or the amount that required to raise revenues equal to the previous year, based on increased property values.

The 2017 Tax Rate totaled $0.440234 per $100 valuation.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Judge Lori Rickert tot he Gulf Coast Center Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt an order of election for November 6 to elect several officials.

The commissioners court took no action regarding assignment of a tax abatement agreement with MEGlobal Americas, Inc. and rename the Dow Chemical Company Reinvestment Zone No. 20. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court took no action regarding revised Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport minimum standards. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court took no action regarding moving a line/reconfiguration for C&M Investments of Florida, LLC and Stellar Land, LLC.

The commissioners court took no action regarding moving a line/reconfiguration for Sondra Lahodny.

The commissioners court took no action regarding moving a line/reconfiguration for Robert A. Lamb and Melissa A. Lamb.

The commissioners court took no action regarding moving a line/reconfiguration for Sam Le Nguyen.

The commissioners court took no action regarding moving a line/reconfiguration for Larry p. and Deborah L. Pike.

The commissioners court took no action regarding moving a line/reconfiguration for Jennifer Sapp.

The items were pulled form the agenda.

The commissioners court took no action, but received an update regarding Narcan.

The commissioners court took no action related to a public hearing and acceptance of posting for regulatory signs on bridge load limits for the road and bridge department. The items were pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to terminate the lease agreement with Old Ash Square, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to amend the item to note the location of the property as 711 North Velasco, also known as the location where WIC has been residing for a number of years.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a payment of $4,901 to Charles Clifton Earl, II for the acquisition of property associated with the widening and improving of a bridge on County Road 168, and authorize the payment is contingent upon the release of any easements and/or third-party property interests on the property, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court took no action resulting from discussions concerning any other items in executive session.

All other action items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
