This Week on Stage

Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast area include Shinyribs in Houston and Robert Earl Keen in Galveston.

Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston will present the Shinyribs in concert on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Miller Theatre will also present Remember When Rock was Young: Elton John Tribute on Friday and The Greatest Love: A Tribute to Whitney Houston on Sunday, both at 8 p.m.

Miller Theatre also continues its Movies at Miller series, with Coco on Tuesday and Beauty and the Beast on Wednesday, both at 8:30 p.m.

The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston will present An Evening with Robert Earl Keen on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Island ETC, East-End Theatre Company in Galveston will present a one-night performance of “Journey Through the Past” on Saturday at 8 p.m.

The Alley Theatre in Houston continues its production of Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” this week.

Performances are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30, Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show runs through September 2.

Upcoming performances include “Driving Miss Days”, opening September 6 at College of the Mainland Community Theatre in Texas City, and “Oklahoma!” presented by Theatre Under the Stars in Houston and opening September 11.
