Katy area company FireDisc Cookers ranks #374 on the 2018 Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private company list
News Release
Tuesday, August 21, 2018

FireDisc® Cookers, an innovative portable propane cooker company headquartered in the Katy area, has been named to Inc. magazine's 37th Annual Inc. 5000. The list is a prestigious ranking of America's fastest-growing private companies.

Coming in at 374th on the list, FireDisc® is ranked as the 5th fastest growing private company in the Houston area with a 3-year revenue growth upward of 1,329.9%. According to a news release distributed by Inc. magazine, “The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.” The full release is available here.

FireDisc® Cookers, co-founded by Hunter and Griff Jaggard, is revolutionizing the portable propane grill industry. According to its creators, with a FireDisc® Cooker you can cook virtually anything. The durable cooking surface offers three temperature zones which allow you to cook veggies and meat at the same time or keep some food warm while other food cooks. And, like a cast-iron skillet, FireDisc® seasons over time which means the flavor of your foods is enhanced. The cooker is currently sold throughout the United States in over 700 stores such as Ace Hardware chains, select Home Depot locations, True Value stores, Cabela’s, Buc-ee’s as well as online at Amazon.com with distribution rapidly growing. In total, the company employs 7 full-time employees with further growth expected. For more information, visit firedisccookers.com.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for this honor,” said co-founder Griff Jaggard. “The Katy area provides an excellent business climate and we look forward to continued growth in the years to come.”

“I would like to congratulate Griff, Hunter and the entire FireDisc® team for being named to this impressive list,” added Katy Area EDC President/CEO Lance LaCour. “We are excited to see what the future has in-store for FireDisc®, and are eager to help the company to continue its tremendous growth however possible.”
