Tuesday, August 21, 2018

Missouri City City Council on Monday voted unanimously to authorize the publication of a notice of intent to issue $21 million in certificates of obligation for the expansion of a surface water treatment plant.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize the publication of a notice of intent to issue $2,100,000 in certificates of obligation to fund the construction costs associated with the purchase of water, sewer, utilities, drainage and street improvements for Lake Shore Harbour Sections Four and Five.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a resolution adopting a schedule of fees for solid waste and recycling services.

The city's fees for residential service will increase by 4.79 percent, or $0.61 per month, bringing the total rate to $13.26 per month. Commercial rates are also receiving a 4.79 percent increase.

The city council voted unanimously to approve, on first reading, an ordinance renaming Lakeshore Harbour Boulevard to Trammel Fresno Road.

A public hearing was held prior to consideration of the item. No members of the public requested to address the city council regarding the item.

A subsequent ordinance on the agenda for renaming the road was pulled from the agenda, as the item had been placed under the public hearing portion of the agenda.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize the submission of a grant application to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to fund the purchase of a Simulated Impaired Driving Experience package.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
