Beaumont City Council

Beaumont City Council today voted unanimously to award a $1,204,807 contract to T Construction, LLC for the Amelia Area and Sherwood Drive pipe bursting project.

The contract is for the second phase of the project.

The city council voted to grant a new solid waste transportation service agreement to DSC Carting, LLC.

The agreement includes a fee to be paid to the city totaling 7 percent of gross revenues received for service.

The city council voted to appoint Jefferson Fisher to the Historic Landmark Commission to fill the unexpired term of Jason Cansler.

The city council voted to appoint Corey Crenshaw as an alternate member to the Planning and Zoning Commission to fill the unexpired term of B. Eliot New.

The city council voted to adopt a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute all documents necessary to apply for and accept new grant funding related to the Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force.

The task force is requesting a total budget of $880,346, with state funds in the amount of $528,714. The Beaumont Police Department would provide a cash match of $259,433, while other agencies will provide an additional $92,199 in matching funds.
