AMSET is going OUT OF THIS WORLD to celebrate 31 years

Beaumont, Texas - Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) will host its 31st Anniversary Gala: OUT OF THIS WORLD, Friday, September 7, 2018, 6:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at the Event Centre located at 700 Crockett St., Beaumont, TX 77701. AMSET invites the community to celebrate 31 years of art and education.

Cocktail hour with appetizers begins at 6:30 p.m. featuring the signature drink, Space Oddity. Fine dining by Bando’s Catering will be served at 7:30 p.m., introducing an entrée and space-themed desserts. Silent and live auctions will feature a vacation villa, themed parties, and art selections, with dancing to follow. Party-goers are encouraged to dress up as their favorite space characters from movies and television.

            The Gala will honor artist Lynn Sweat, fine arts patron Pat Klein, and AMSET curator of education, Andy Gardner, who is celebrating 25 years of employment at AMSET. This anniversary event is made possible through Gala chairs Karen and Bret Babineaux, and committee members Judy Black, Sandra Clark, Gerald Farha, Sandy Fertitta, Lynda Moncla, Albert Nolen, Camille Ohmstede, Janey Phelan, and Jessica Garth Whitney.

Individual seats are $250. Table reservations range from $1,600 to $15,000. A $15,000 table can seat up to 10 guests. Top table packages include premium seating, champagne served tableside, and invitations to a private underwriter dinner with AMSET’s fall exhibiting artist and photographer, Deborah Luster, along with a signed copy of her book, Tooth for an Eye. There will be an after-party from 9-11 p.m. with tickets available for $100 for non-members and $75 for members. This event will include an open bar and dancing to the live, musical entertainment of DJ Jonathan Martin.
