NASA Johnson Space Center’s new director Mark S Geyer welcomed by the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership

BAHEPNASA-Johnson Space Center’s new director, Mark S Geyer, was welcomed by the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership a its monthly membership meeting on Wednesday. He was introduced by Dr. Brenda Hellyer, Chancellor, San Jacinto College District and chairperson of BAHEP.   

Geyer, who is the 12th director of the center, commented in his opening remarks “Houston is my home and I love it here. It’s a great place to raise kids.”  He laid out his vision for the focus of JSC, for human space flight and the International Space Station. BAHEP president Bob Mitchell closed the program with comments on his optimism for the future of the Space Pragram under the leadership of Geyer,    Listen:  (44:25) 

Attendees were in good spirits and enthusiastic about the future of the US Space Program. The meeting was held at The Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook.
