Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to approve an interlocal agreement with the City of Sugar Land for local match support in the amount of $70,000 to support the county's transit services.

The city will provide the funds in support of the county's transit services, targeting residents who regularly travel to the areas of West Bellfort METRO Park-n-Ride, Greenway Plaza, the Galleria area, the Texas Medical Center, and other destinations in Harris County and within Fort Bend County.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Lucy Smith and approve the appointment of Wade Purdy to fill the vacancy on the Fort Bend County Emergency Service District No. 6 Board of Commissioners.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an advance funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation regarding the US 90A at State Highway 99 Mobility Bond Project.

The project cost totals $1,902,225 for the construction of grade separations and intersection improvements along 90A at State Highway 99.

The commissioners court took no action regarding a third amendment to an agreement with McLemore Building Mainenance for janitorial services at the Fort Bend County Justice Center. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize negotiations with Jeffrey S. Ward for acquisition and project management services for disasters.
