Kemah City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to continue to provide free residential trash service and to negotiate a contract with AmeriWaste to provide solid waste services.

The city council voted unanimously to direct the community services director to name appointments tot he Stormwater Advisory Committee.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Teresa Vazquez-Evans as primary representative to the Animal Services Advisory Committee with Robin Collins as alternate.

The city council voted unanimously to approve $70,000 in Hotel Occupancy Tax grants, and to allow the grant review committee to determine disbursements of the funds.

The city council took no action regarding a contract for a city administrator.

The city council took no action regarding ESB appointments.

The city council voted unanimously to reappoint Judge Miles Whittington as municipal court judge and to appoint Whittington, Brenda Miller Ferguson and Margaret Vargas to a committee to select associate court judges.

The city council voted unanimously to approve the purchase of furniture for the existing City Hall.

The city council took no action regarding accounting and finacials and financial reporting to the city council.

All other action items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Wanda Zimmer was absent. Agenda
