Houston's Midtown Super Neighborhood monthly meeting set for September 13
Press Release
Monday, September 10, 2018

On May 15, 2018, after nearly a year of planning, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner formally recognized the formation of the Midtown Super Neighborhood. Super Neighborhoods are geographically-designated areas “where residents, civic organizations, institutions and businesses work together to identify, plan, and set priorities to address the needs and concerns of their community.”

The Midtown Super Neighborhood delegates represent eleven distinguished Homeowner Associations (HOAs) who represent over 1,500 residents.  The organization hopes to continue growing! It also includes regional delegates for non-HOA residents and delegates from local businesses, places of worship, the arts community and other institutions in Midtown. “My hope and goal for the Midtown Super Neighborhood is to see an inspired and cohesive Midtown community working together to represent and act on behalf of Midtown stakeholder concerns for the common good,” said Midtown Super Neighborhood President and long-time Midtown resident, Cynthia Aceves-Lewis. “Everyone’s voice matters!”

If you are a member of the Midtown neighborhood, please join us at our monthly meetings held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 at Crime Stoppers (3001 Main St). The next meeting is this Thursday, 9/13. Strategic Committees are forming now.
