Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to adopt the county's FY2019 Budget, with expenditures totaling $358,153,867.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a property tax rate of $0.445 per $100 valuation for the 2018 Tax Year.

Of the total tax rate, revenues from $0.375 per $100 valuation will be dedicated to General Fund expenditures, $0.025 per $100 valuation will be dedicated to the Road and Bridge Fund, and $0.63 per $100 valuation will be used to make payments on the county's bonded indebtedness.

The county also levies a $0.019 per $100 valuation drainage district maintenance fund, bringing the total tax rate to $0.464 per $100 valuation.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize eminent domain to acquire property for the Front Street Mobility Bond Project.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize eminent domain to acquire property for the Westpark Park and Ride Project.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to apply to the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County for funds in an amount maximum of $3,867,370 with $580,106 in transportation development credits for new transit vehicles for the Downtown Houston Service.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reject all proposals and re-advertise for bids for the design/build of the South Post Oak Park Expansion Project.

The commissioners court took no action resulting from closed session discussions with the county's attorney regarding matters involving the Trapeze Software Group, Inc.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize settlement of a personal injury claim made by Kobina Graham concerning a vehicle accident with a sheriff's deputy vehicle on July 7, 2017, as discussed in closed session.
