Galveston ISD Board of Trustees

The Galveston Independent School District Board of Trustees on Wednesday voted unanimously to declare candidates for District 1-A, 3-C and 4-D as unopposed in the November 6 School Board Election.

Monica Wagner filed and is unopposed for District 1-A, which is currently held by Dr. Jeff Temple.

Shae Jobe is unopposed for 3-C, which is currently held by Mary Cazares, and incumbent Anthony Brown will serve another term in District 4-D.

The board voted to cancel the November 6 election for the three seats.

The board voted to apply for an optional flexible school day program for AIM College and Career Preperatory Academy.

The board voted to apply for an optional flexible school day program for Ball High School.
The board voted to apply for a maximum class size exception waver for classes at Burnet, Morgan, Oppe, and Parker elementary schools.

The board voted to approve the funding of a fifth addendum to an agreement with Galveston College in support of the Galveston Career Connect Grant, in an amount not to exceed $400,000.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
