Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves

The Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves today voted unanimously to approve insurance policies for port liability, excess liability, business auto, public official liability, and crime and fiduciary liability scheduled for renewal for the policy period October 1, 2018 to October 1, 2019 at a total premium of $188,526.

The board voted unanimously to acquire NetSuite and ERP System, which includes purchase of a five-year NetSuite software license and Phase I implementation of said system by GB Tech with assistance being provided by NetSuite. An additional module from Harbor Mastery called I-SeaPorts, a native application to NetSuite.

The board voted unanimously to hold the October regular meeting on October 24.

All other agenda items were approved unanimously with Mayor Jim Yarbrough absent. Agenda

During its morning workshop, the board recognized the following five employees for an outstanding job performance: Andrew Crow, Philip Herrera, Donald D. Maze, Michael P. Radebaugh, and Tino Ramirez

Port Director Rodger Rees said the honorees went “above and beyond the call of duty” to assist others in need. Listen (4:51)
