The Houston-Galveston Area Council on Friday voted unanimously to approve comments on the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Draft Volkswagen Beneficiary Agreement. Item Summary

TCEQ intends to use the $209 million in funding available in the state in the following manner:

  • Administration
  • Light-Duty EV Supply Equipment
  • Vehicle or Engine Replacement

Earlier this month, the H-GAC Board of Directors unanimously approved the transmittal of comments to TCEQ Chair Jon Niermann conveying recommendations and requesting their incorporation in the development of a final State Beneficiary Plan Agreement. Article

The policy council voted unanimously to approve eight amendments to the 2019-2022 Transportation Improvement Program and 2040 Regional Transportation Plan.

These amendments include the programming of the City of Galveston’s Program of Projects for FY 2018 FTA Urbanized Area Formula, Section 5307 and the Transportation Development Credits in lieu of local matching funds for the Gulf Coast Center’s Texas City Park & Ride Construction project.
