Tuesday, October 02, 2018

Beaumont City Council today voted unanimously to award a $615,585 contract to T. Gray Utility Company for sewer manhole rehabilitation work associated with the city's sewer overflow initiative.

The work consists of rehabilitating existing manholes by coating the inside walls with concrete liner, performing frame to manhold sealing, and adjusting/resetting defective manholes.

The city council voted unanimously to to purchase trash cans for use by the Solid Waste Department.

The city will purchase 1,160 cans from Cascade Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $58,520. The new 96 gallon cans will replace old and damaged cans and will also be issued to new customers.

The city council voted 6-0-1, with Mike Getz abstaining, to authorize the settlement of the claims of George W. Brown, III, in the amount of $16,500. The item had been discussed in closed session on September 25.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
