Deer Park City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve the purchase of two Ford F-350 trucks, one F-250 truck, and one F-150 truck for the Fire Department and Fire Marshal's Office through the H-GACBuy Cooperative Purchasing Program.

The F-350 vehicles will be new grass/booster fire trucks. The F-250 will be for the Fire Chief and the F-150 will be for the Deputy Fire Marhal.

The vehicles being replaced will be retained and “upfitted” with lift kids and specialized equipment to be utilized as high water response vehicles.

The cost of the vehicle purchase totals $168,301.

The city council voted to award a contract to Arbitrage Compliance Specialists for arbitrage rebate services.

The city council voted to approve the purchase of a building to contain the PAX Ammonia feed skid at Pasadena Boulevard.

The city council voted to cancel the November 20 regular city council meeting.

All action items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Council Member Bill Patterson absent. Agenda

During the meeting, the city council held discussion-only items regarding extension of a commercial waste removal services contract with Waste Management of Texas, Inc. and issues relating to the participation in the Harris County Hurricane Harvey Method of Distribution for Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery funding.
