Quilt exhibition opens at The Collective October 18

HOUSTON—“Hearts, Hands & Heritage:  Quilting Together” opens Thursday, October 18, at the Community Artists’ Collective, 4101 San Jacinto, Suite 116, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. 

The exhibition, in collaboration with the Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning at Rice University, will showcase quilts made by members of the Jubilee Quilt Circle, Aldine Area Quilt Guild, Blue Triangle Quilt Guild and other groups and by contemporary artist Nathaniel Donnett. 

The opening reception is sponsored by the Port City Chapter of Links, Inc. 

The exhibition runs through Saturday, November 17. 

The Collective is open during the exhibition Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12 noon until 5 p.m. and by appointment.
