As part of National Fire Prevention Week, the League City Fire Marshal’s Office and Volunteer Fire Department is asking residents of all ages to join them in an attempt to break the current Guinness World Record™ title for the largest Stop, Drop, and Roll.  The attempt will take place on Friday, October 12, on the football field at CCISD’s Challenger Columbia Stadium after the homecoming game between Clear Springs and Clear Brook High Schools.

Admission to the game is FREE after halftime and those interested in participating are invited to come out to watch the local matchup and then line up on the football field to take part in the Guinness World Record™ attempt. Participants will receive a free t-shirt. You do NOT need to be a League City resident to take part. The current attempt stands at 1,719 and League City hopes to have 3,000 people line up on the field at around 8:45 p.m. to make the attempt.

A representative from Guinness World Records will be at the event and will announce that evening if the attempt is successful. To sign up beforehand go to www.leaguecity.com/stopdroproll or show up at the game after halftime. (Game starts at 7 p.m.)
