Jefferson County Commissioners Court

Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to approve a request by the Texas General Land Office to extend the temporary housing program for six months.

The commissioners court voted to approve the hiring of Everett D. Cormier, Sr. as a deputy constable with Constable Precinct No. 2 under the ASAP program.

The commissioners court voted to approve the certified roll jurisdiction summary resolution for the tax roll for Tax Year 2018.

The commissioners court voted to apply for the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Hog-Out Program for FY2019.

The program provides funding for a three-month effort to reduce the feral hog population in Texas.

The commissioners court voted to renew an affiliation agreement between Lamar Institute of Technology and the Jefferson County Public Health Department.

The agreement allows for the use of clinical facilities for pharmacy tech students.
