Go METRO for Major League Fun Without Major Hassles
News Release
Tuesday, October 16, 2018

It is an exciting time to be an Astros fan. But all the post-season excitement also means increased traffic, higher parking rates, and more street closures near Minute Maid Park.

Enjoy major league fun without major hassles by taking METRO to the game.

If you are already downtown, take advantage of the free Greenlink shuttle bus. Stops are located throughout downtown including Main Street Square, Toyota Center, the Theater District, and more. Greenlink's Orange route runs Monday through Saturday until midnight and offers curbside service to and from Minute Maid Park every 10 minutes. For more information on Greenlink routes and stops click here.

For those coming into downtown Houston, METRORail is one of the most popular ways to get to the stadium. Tickets are $1.25 and valid for up to three hours. Parking for the Red Line is available for $3 at Fannin South Transit Center Station. Northside residents can park free at Northline Transit Center and there's also limited parking at Quitman/Near Northside station. Riders should exit the Red Line at Central Station Main and walk six blocks to the stadium or transfer to METRO's Green or Purple lines and exit at Convention District Station for a shorter walk.

Non-METRO garage parking is also available at Capitol and Rusk near Theater District Station. Board any Green or Purple Line train and exit at Convention District Station.

Coming from the west side of town? Consider parking for free at METRO's Northwest Transit Center and take one of several local bus routes to downtown where you can connect to METRORail or Greenlink shuttle buses. Fares are also $1.25, valid for up to three hours, and can be used for transfers to METRORail. Download METRO's TRIP app to get a custom itinerary and directions.
