The Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors today voted unanimously to adopt the Regional Multi-Agency Coordination Center Plan.

The Multi-Agency Coordination Center Plan for the H-GAC may be activated for a catastrophic incident or in anticipation of a significant regional event when it would be beneficial to establish a mechanism to facilitate resource request matchmaking and/or maintain regional situational awareness. The board voted unanimously to authorize negotiation of a contract with Whitley Penn for independent audit services. Whitley Penn will continue to serve as H-GAC’s independent auditor.

The board voted unanimously to authorize negotiation of adult education contracts through June 30, 2019, with the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans in the amount of $250,000 and Community and Family Centers in the amount of $250,000.

The board voted unanimously to name Nate McDonald as representative and Nancy Arnold as alternate to the Texas Association of Regional Councils Board of Directors.
