Tuesday, October 23, 2018

The Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to approve a contract with the Galveston County Sheriff's Office for liaison officers to provide security for the district.

The board had approved the addition of 15 sheriff liaison officers in the district's FY2019 Budget. The contract, with the addition of the new positions, is valued at $3.4 million per year.

The board voted to approve the 2018-2019 Superintendent's Targets. The annual targets are derived from the district strategic plan.

The board voted to approve an interlocal agreement for the School Crossing Guard Program with the City of League City.

The agreement calls for 13 crossing guards, including a team leader, at League City campuses. The city will fully fund the positions and reimburse the district in January and July of each year.

The board voted to approve the 2019 Galveston County Schools Consortium Legislative Agenda.

Clear Creek ISD and the Galveston County Schools Consortium developed a set of legislative priorities to be presented to legislators during a forum on December 3.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
