Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to adopt an order decreeing the acquisition of property to be a public necessity and authorizing the purchase and payment of compensation by record vote regarding South Post Oak, from Trammel Fresno Road to Hunter Green Lane.

The land is being acquired as part of a mobility bond road project.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to set bond amounts for various elected officials.

The commissioners court voted unanimousl to grant a request by Loi Huynh, on behalf of Dana-Y Investment, LTD, to waive penalty and interest totaling $1,145 on property taxes for Tax Year 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to grant a request by Jacob Thomas to waive penalty and interest totaling $48.21 on property taxes for Tax Year 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reject and re-advertise for bids for credit card processing services for the county.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to incur increased litigation expenses in the matter of JDC/Firethorne, LTD vs. Fort Bend County, et al, for a total amount of $985,000, as discussed in clsoed session.
The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to negotiate with a legal firm for legal representation in a State Office of Administrative Hearings case, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court took no action resulting from closed session discussions regarding the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's lawsuit with Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. and Audi of America, LLC, et al.

During the meeting, Commissioner Andy Meyers addressed County Judge Robert Hebert and Commissioner James Patterson on their service to the county. Both Hebert and Patterson lost their re-election bids in the November 6 General Election. Listen (0:46)
