Jefferson County Commissioners Court

Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to approve the transfer of Deputy Constable Charlie Wiggins from Constable Precinct No. 1 to serve as a part-time deputy constable with Constable Precinct No. 7.

The commissioners court voted to authorize Jevone Pollard, newly-elected Constable for Precinct No. 1, to take the oath of office to assume the position of Constable due to the vacancy created by the transfer of Wiggins, who was serving as interim constable.

The commissioners court voted to adopt an order canvassing the results of the November 6 General Election.

The commissioners court voted to extend a contract with LaSalle Southwest Corrections for the lease of the Jefferson County Downtown Jail Facility by an additional 3 weeks.

The commissioners court voted to award a term contract to Proctor’s Mortuary for morgue transportation services.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with County Judge Jeff Branick and Commissioner Everette “Bo” Alfred absent. Commissioner Eddie Arnold presided over the meeting. Agenda
