H-GAC Board of Directors

The Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors today voted unanimously to approve a request that two projects – $3 million to the Dickinson Economic Development Corporation and $484,340 to the NationSync Community Development Corporation – be found consistent with plans, policies, and H-GAC review criteria.

The DEDC will use its funds for the development of the Dickinson Public Market while the NCDC will devote its allocation to provide computer systems analyst workforce training for disadvantaged individuals. Item Summary

The board voted unanimously to authorize the re-entry into an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the Ports Area Mobility Study.

The board voted unanimously to approve the following three H-GAC advisory committee appointments:

  • Daniel Marek, Criminal Justice Advisory Committee
  • R.L. “Buster” Buell, Criminal Justice Advisory Committee
  • Glenn Laird, Natural Resources Advisory Committee

Towards the end of the meeting, H-GAC Water Resources Management Director Todd Running made a presentation on the on-site sewage facility replacement project.
