Celebrate the Holidays With Houston Early Music Presentation of An Elizabethan Christmas

HOUSTON – Parthenia a Consort of Viols, comprised of, from left, Lawrence Lipnik, Rosamond Morley, Beverly Au, and Lisa Terry, will present An Elizabethan Christmas, featuring soprano Sherezade Panthaki, as a part of Houston Early Music’s 50th season.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Ave., 77002. A pre-concert talk by Houston Early Music board president and gambist, Pedro Funes, begins at 6:45 p.m. Entrance to the Cathedral Parking Garage is available on San Jacinto between Texas and Prairie.

Presenting a Millennium of Masterworks
Houston Early Music is the city's only nonprofit presenting organization that offers an annual concert series of performances by major, international early music ensembles and emerging artists. In addition, its successful outreach programs invite listeners of all ages to discover the origins of classical and modern music. Houston Early Music is funded in part by grants from the Houston Arts Alliance, the Texas Commission on the Arts and The National Endowment for the Arts.
