Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to authorize the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to enter into an agreement with the Drug Enforcement Administration to detail one deputy to the Beaumont DEA Task Force.
The task force is tasked with disrupting illicit drug traffic, report intelligence, and conduct undercover operations.
The commissioners court voted to approve expenditures by the Treasurer’s Office to purchase signature plates, signature stamps and costs for new Treasurer training in the amount of $2,005.
The commissioners court voted to approve electronic disbursements totaling $648,449 to LaSalle for revenue received from entities for inmate housing.
The commissioners court voted to approve an interlocal agreement with Mid County Lube & Auto Repair, LLC for motor vehicle registration/inspection point of sale stickers.
The commissioners court voted to adopt a resolution recognizing Lanny L. Hawthorne for 33 years and 4 months of service to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and wishing him well in his retirement.
The commissioners court voted to adopt a resolution recognizing Kenneth M. Hobbs for 12 years and 1 month service to the Sheriff’s Office and wishing him well in his retirement.
