Pearland City Council on Monday voted unanimously to award a $16,683,3417 contract to Triple B Services, LLP for construction of the Hughes Ranch Road Project.
The project was originally planned by Brazoria County but was transferred to the city after the county was unable to obtain funding through the Houston-Galveston Area Council. Work includes construction of approximately 10,500 feet of four lane concrete curb and gutter boulevard from Cullen Boulevard to Smith Ranch Road, and includes sidewalks on both sides and traffic signals at Miller Ranch Road and in front of Challenger Elementary at Bryan Court.
The city council voted unanimously to appoint Donna Rizzo to the Development Authority of Pearland Board of Directors.
The city council voted unanimously to appoint Herb Fain, Jr. to Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 2 and elect Fain as chair of the board.
The city council voted 5-1, with Tony Carbone opposed, to amend the city's comprehensive financial management policy statements.
