Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to adopt an order establishing and organizing Jefferson County Assistance District No. 4.

Voters approved a referendum to create the district during the November 6 General Election. The district may impose a sales and use tax of one percent within its boundaries.

The commissioners court voted to adopt an order imposing the one percent sales and use tax for Jefferson County Assistance District No. 4.

The commissioners court voted to extend the deadline for waiving permit fees on renovations due to hurricane damage from September 15, 2018 through to December 31, 201.

The commissioners court voted to approve the hiring of Jennifer Vogel as chief deputy constable for Constable Precinct No. 1.

The commissioners court voted to adopt a resolution in support of an application by the county o the Texas Historical Commission for grant funds for courthouse restoration.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with County Judge Jeff Branick. Commissioner Everette “Bo” Alfred presided over the meeting. Agenda
