Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4552 Newberry

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men that occurred at 4552 Newberry about 7:30 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 3).

One victim, Darryl Wayne Brown, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other, Corey Deandre Holmes, 32, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  Both men lived at the above address.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Pemberton and S. Spivey reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and were advised that three to four suspects had forced their way into the residence at the above address.  The suspects demanded money and fired their weapons inside the residence.  The suspects then ran out of the house firing their weapons at Messrs. Brown and Holmes, striking both of them.

The suspects fled the location in a green, four-door sedan.  They are described only as black males wearing all black clothing.
