Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Judge Jerry Bussell and appoint Judge-Elect Toni Wallace as judge for Fort Bend County Court-at-Law No. 4.

Wallace defeated Amy Mitchell in the November 6 General Election for the position, with a term officially beginning in January. Bussell did not seek an other term.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Rodney Vannerson and Johnny Cantu to the Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 10 Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a resolution in support of the City of Richmond's pursuit of legislation enabling development of a hotel and convention center project. Richmond is seeking to capture the state's share of hotel occupancy taxes and sales taxes within the project area.

The commissioners court voted 4-1, with Commissioner James Patterson opposed, to grant a request for an exception to the county's travel policy to authorize reimbursement of $414.24 to Judge Brady Elliott for excess over conference room rate and $75.20 to reimbursement of shuttle expenses for training in September.

The commissioners court took no action regarding a letter of inquiry to the Episcopal Health Foundation for grant funds in the amount of $450,000 for years 2019-2022 to continue program coordination for the Fort Bend County Collaborative Information System.

The item was pulled from the agenda.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
