Webster City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to adopt a resolution to express the city's opposition to legislative interference with local services, local revenue and local control.

The Texas Municipal League recently kicked off its “Our Home, Our Decisions” campaign, which is to raise awareness regarding the State of Texas “eroding the ability of Texans to have a voice in developing local solutions to local problems that affect their neighborhoods and communities.”

The city council voted unanimously to approve, with conditions, a proposed special use permit for a tattoo shop at 16948 Highway 3.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a memorandum of understanding with Bay Area Turning Point.

The agreement allows Bay Area Turning Point to use the city's facilities at no charge to hold training events, seminars and other special events.

The city council voted unanimously to award a $271,520 contract to T Construction, LLC for performing modifications to Lift Station No. 3.

The city council discuss, but took no action regarding the Webster power switch.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Andrea Wilson was absent. Agenda
