Investigation into Shooting at 5225 Calhoun Street
News Release
Thursday, December 06, 2018
Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man and a woman at 5225 Calhoun Street about 2 p.m. on Wednesday (December 5).
The victims, Serrick Preston, 22, and Bethany Billings, 21, were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Le and L. Bolmanski reported:
Mr. Preston and Ms. Billings were at a park at the above address playing basketball and watching others play basketball when a group of males got into an altercation. The altercation turned physical and the males pulled out guns. As they started shooting at each other, Preston and Billings were struck by the gunfire.
At this time, it has not been determined who the shooters are.
