Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to designate Commissioner Andy Meyers as representative to the Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors and to name Commissioners Grady Prestage and Vincent Morales as alternates to the General Assembly.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Commissioner Grady Prestage as representative and County Engineer Richard Stolleis as alternate to the H-GAC Transportation Policy Council and Stolleis as representative and an alternate to the Technical advisory Committee.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a resolution in support of the nomination of Andy Myers to the Urban Counties Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Linda Burks and Elaine Moseley to the Library Advisory Board.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Ann Crockett to the Library Advisory Board.

The commissioners court took no action regarding approval of a plat for the roads within Aliana Section 50.

The commissioners court took no action regarding approval of a plat for the lots within Aliana Section 50.

The commissioners court took no action regarding acceptance of a donation in the amount of $1,588.87 from the Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land Chili Cook-Off event.

All three items were pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve termination of an agreement for contribution to a state and locally funded on-system project between Fort Bend County and Fort Bend County Assistance District No. 4 regarding the FM 521 Expansion Project.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a $4,401,800 construction contract to Bass Construction Company, Inc. for the Mission Bend Community Center.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to grant a request by Michael W. Elliott to waive penalty, interest and collections fees totaling $4,756 on property taxes for tax years 2006 through 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to amend a sub-award interlocal agreement with the Gulf Coast Rail District to extend the interlocal agreement for an additional year ending February 9, 2020.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a contract to Bass Construction for the design and build of a greenhouse for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

During the meeting, Judge Robert Hebert and Commissioner Andy Meyers recognizing Lila Smith, who works in the Commissioner Precinct 3 office on her retirement. Congressman Pete Olson also issued a proclamation recognizing Smith. Listen (3:24)
