The Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve the 2019 Budget and Service Plan.

According to the plan, the unified budget will be in the amount of $365,056,867 with significant increases in allocations for transportation and capital expenditures. Item Summary 

The board voted unanimously to authorize the increase of the Savage Design Group contract by $132,500 for additional work, increasing the total contract amount from $530,000 to $662,500.

The board voted unanimously to approve the H-GAC Election Committee’s 2019 slate of officers as follows:

  • Chair – Brazoria County Commissioner Stacy Adams
  • Chair Elect – Councilwoman Nancy Arnold, City of Waller
  • Vice Chair – Wharton County Judge Phillip Spenrath

The ballots will be canvassed at the 2019 H-GAC General Assembly Annual Meeting scheduled for January 18, 2019.

Waller County Judge Trey Duhon called for a moment of silence to remember Austin County Commissioner Doug King who passed on Monday in an accident.
