League City City Council, in a special meeting on Thursday, voted 5-1, with Keith Gross opposed, to approve a settlement in the matter of Mark Rohr vs. City of League City, et al, as discussed in closed session.

The city council last week, in a split vote, had denied a motion to approve a settlement in the lawsuit with Rohr, who had served as city manager for League City. Report

Mayor Pat Hallisey said he did not vote on the item on the advice of his attorneys, as he was a party to the suit. Listen (5:04)

The city council voted 6-0-, with Nick Long not present, to approve, on first and final reading, an order canvassing the results of the the December 18 Runoff Election.

Chad Tressler defeated Chris Gross for City Council Position 6, which had been held by Keith Gross. Tressler will take the seat in January.

No other action items were on the agenda. Council Member Greg Gripon was absent and Long had attended a portion of the meeting via video conferencing. Agenda
